Mike
Head Coach
Mike and his family have lived in PG for 15 years and has loved it! He grew up in Oakley, Utah and started wrestling in elementary school. He wrestled at South Summit High School where wrestling quickly became his favorite sport. In high school he became a 2x region champ, State runner up, Tulsa Nationals runner up, Rocky Mountain Nationals runner up, and traveled to Moscow Russia to wrestle for team Utah in the Utah vs. Moscow Youth Olympic Games. He has been coaching youth programs for over 10 years, where he has loved watching kids find success not only in the sport of wrestling but also in the every other aspect of life. Coach Mike feels there is no better sport to prepare your son or daughter to take life head on and win. He is looking forward to helping continue the legacy of wrestling in our community
Brock Moore
Intermediate / Advanced Coach
Brock Moore’s wrestling journey began on the mats of Pleasant Grove’s Little Mountain Grapplers Wrestling program. It was here that the foundations of his passion for the sport were laid by hall of fame coach Norm Sanderson, igniting a flame that would burn bright through the years. The lessons learned during those formative years would serve as the bedrock for his future success.
Brock was a state champion at Pleasant Grove High School coached by the hall of fame great, Darol Henry. He continued to a higher level of competition at Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming providing him with new challenges and opportunities to showcase his talent. His journey also included a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Chicago, Illinois. This period of service further enriched his character, instilling values of humility, compassion, and community spirit qualities that would define his coaching philosophy.
Moore earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from Southern Utah University and a Master's Degree in Education Technology from Grand Canyon University. Throughout his educational journey, Moore never strayed far from the wrestling mat. He served as an assistant wrestling coach at Orem High School while attending Utah Valley University, and later continued his coaching legacy as an assistant at Cedar City High School during his time at Southern Utah University.
Moore's coaching prowess truly blossomed during his tenure at Pleasant Grove High School. As both a teacher and wrestling coach, his impact was undeniable. As a teacher, he was recognized earning the SHAPE-Utah Physical Education Teacher of the Year, The Best of Alpine award for outstanding service, and the UAHPERD Secondary Physical Education Teacher of the Year. He coached several state championship weightlifting teams and individuals. He is a Silver Level USA wrestling coach. The Vikings wrestling team soared under his guidance, securing an astounding total of 12 team state championships, more than 600 dual match wins, many sectional and regional titles, along with numerous individual All-Americans and state titles. He also was voted region and state Coach of the Year a great number of times. In 2013 he was named the West Sectional Coach of the Year, and in 2021 Moore received the Distinguished Service Award for his outstanding contributions as 6A Coach of the Year in all sports. His ability to mentor and shape young athletes into champions was a testament to his commitment to the sport and his students' growth.

Derek Fisher
Assistant Coach
Derek grew up in Pleasant Grove and began wrestling at a young age with Team Utah Grapplers. He quickly fell in love with the sport and participated in as many clubs, tournaments, and duals as possible.
Derek wrestled at Pleasant Grove High School, where he was a four-time state qualifier and a three-time state placewinner, state runner-up, Rockwell Rumble Champion, and multiple-time Region and Divisional champion. As team captain during his senior year, he helped lead Pleasant Grove to three state championships and a runner-up finish, along with two Dual State titles and four Divisional and Regional championships.
Following an LDS mission, Derek went on to compete at the Division I level for Utah Valley University, where he gained valuable experience wrestling in the Big 12 Conference. After college, Derek’s love for the sport has only grown as he has coached multiple teams, serving as both head coach and assistant coach.
